I think I got what you want, but unfortunately I tweaked a little here and there too much and so I'm not completely sure what all I changed. I'm attaching a screen shot of the result in Firefox 4 RC1. As a note, the page doesn't look right in Opera 11. The background gradient color on the body is what's off.

Here's the aside, which was the crucial part. This is only what I added to the existing styles.

On a fully updated install of 10.4.3 on my latest rev iBook, I have never seen myspace freeze. I was going to use firefox until I found out that when I visited myspace in firefox CPU usage spiked. For some reason it doesn't do that in safari, so until that changes, I'm staying with safari.

But the point of all this was, I have no problems at all on safari.

I do not have WMP installed, therefore I get that plugin not found message, I just hit cancel, never once has myspace frozen on me.

That's probably why it's not frozen on you. The lack of the WMP plug-in doesn't cause nearly as many problems for any browser as it might. Firefox, Shiira, Safari, Camino--they all do it--since it's one place for all plug-ins on Mac OS X.

If I go to the profile pages of almost any of the Filipinos, they have literally hundreds of videos, one in each comment and they all play at once. It's possible to turn the things off or to stop the behaviour through settings but apparently, anything goes and if they don't see it, it's not happening. :eek:

I have a question about the screen shot......i went to file>take screen shot. Then I tried to paste it in a Pages Document and it did not work. What am I doing wrong?

It's not one of the first ones made, the iPhone was released on June 29th, 2007 and your phone was made in the first week of July, 2007. Therefore the initial influx of production models were already in the hands of the first customers before yours was made. It was made fairly early in the cycle, but definitely not in the first group.

Thanks, good to know. Just being in that first few months group is good enough for me.

BBB ratings are no longer very reliable. You can get rid of a bad rating by buying advertising from BBB. I never trust a BBB rating anymore.

Yeah, BBB has gotten so bad that I get suspicious of any retailer that brags about their BBB rating. The bigger the BBB logo is on a retailers website, the more problems you're going to have.

I started doing it because I have my iMac on all the time...actually, I started folding on my PowerBook G4 running at 667 MHz...not a lot of productivity, but it helped.

I'm excited to get my MacBook Pro (probably this week) and start on it...although the F@H website does not have an Intel version yet.

While you can set the G5 up to be a file server, it's kind of a waste in my opinion. I'd investigate selling the G5 and get a Drobo or an external drive and then serve files from your iMac.

I was there last year, but sadly not this year. I'm probably going to have to hold out until iPad 3 and the retina display. Although if I can about $500 for my 32GB Wifi and my loads of accessories, I might pickup a 16GB model. But it won't be tomorrow (unless someone on Craigslist pulls the trigger soon!)

anything but that monitor. I think that would be a baaaaaaaaaaad move for apple. Unless they could manage to have it be really inexpensive, nobody will buy it. Sure, it is a huge monitor, but is it affordable to the average consumer (probably not :rolleyes: ).

A client of mine spilled a Diet Coke on her unibody white MacBook.

What is a unibody white MacBook? It's either white or an unibody. If it's the white one then the kb is very easy to replace, if it's the unibody one you have to almost completely remove everything to replace the top cover. As for the damage it could be and easy fix or a dead logic board. When the spill happened did you remove power and shut it down immediately?

There are others copies in System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/FinderKit.framework/Resources.

Yeah I noticed that too, it was almost an exact copy of the Finder.app/Resources folder. I modified that as well. Interesting that Lion seems to be using frameworks much more so than previous OS X incarnations.

I've never found the server healthy enough to watch until 48 hours later anyway. Pity they only put the MW'07 onto the ITS. Perhaps they'll do it with the '08 - so it can download in full and the be watched.

Not sure how you saw a 12" Powerbook over a decade ago since they didn't come out until 2003 ;)

But seriously, they will hold 1.12GB of RAM in the original 867MHz models, and all the ones after than will do 1.25GB of RAM. For a short time you actually could get CPU upgrades through a company that you would mail the PowerBook to and they would upgrade it to 1.67GHz or something like that. I've owned both a 867MHz model and currently a 1.5GHz one. Go for no less than a 1.33. They have faster RAM, much better graphics chips, and more HD space by default. My 1.5GHz is wonderful in Leopard with the maximum RAM installed and its 64MB GeForce Go5200 graphics card. Probably wouldn't hurt to find a newer & faster HD, but for a secondary computer, 60GB is plenty for me.

Hello,

I would like to create a simple iphone app for my sports team, all it would need to include is:
-twitter feed
-youtube feed
-rss news feed from the main site
-schedule
-map

Am I right in thinking that the only software I need is xcode 4 and a developers license to get the app into the app store?

I have some experience in coding, mainly HTML. From the screenshots of xcode 4, it looks similar to dreamweaver in that you can work in a GUI(add table by clicking on the table button) or by coding it.
Is it that simple, or am I getting it wrong?

Also, if I buy a developers license for a year, what happens after that year? Does the app stay in the store, but I cannot update it, or does it disappear from the app store?

Apologies if these are stupid questions, I have looked for an answer, but have come up with nothing so far.
